Our Donations

To date, over $220,000 has been donated back into the community.

Market proceeds are donated to people, organizations, and charities within the City of Onkaparinga. Applications are received from all walks of life; clubs struggling to purchase equipment, athletes requiring support to attend competitions and even the person in the street who is having trouble paying the bills. The Committee want to help the locals get on with what they are involved in, may it be sports or a school project.

The market prefers to donate small amounts to a larger number of people rather than a large amount to a small number. That way everyone gets something. The amount also depends on what funds are available at the time of application. If necessary some donations have been held until more finance is available.

The committee meet once a month to consider any application for donations that have been received. Only one donation request per applicant is granted in each calendar year, but applicants may reapply after twelve months.

Anyone living within the City of Onkaparinga is welcome to apply for a donation. 
Simply contact us via email or write a letter and the application will be assessed at the next committee meeting. The applicant will be notified as soon as possible once a decision has been made.
