From Scouts and Guides to Schools and Kindergartens, Youth Groups, Churches and Sporting Clubs, they can all increase their fundraising at the Original Open Market.

Not only those groups but every group, organization or family can utilize the market for their fundraising endeavours provided they are not a business.

It is so hard to be a member of a group and see some parts of it struggling for want of funding.

The governments and councils do what they can to help, but not everyone can benefit in that way. Even those who do, may not receive enough to pay for some much needed equipment or renovation.

The Original Open Market Inc. gives you the chance to help yourself help the community.

That is what we are there for.

Set up a regular stall and you will be surprised just how fast the funds mount up.

There is only one snag however, the market cannot permit food because of health restraints, nor is new gear permitted.

Those delicious cake stalls and sausage sizzles help tremendously, but at the market they are not allowed except for the special sausage sizzles run by the Lifesavers or the Coastguard.

You may sell home grown fruit and vegetables, or honey which is a natural product and not manufactured.

It is not only the people, clubs or organizations that  the market assists, but the Beach Road Traders as well.

That is why we cannot allow food or new gear.

Items offered for sale must not immediately compete with the traders.

Notwithstanding that little downside, there are plenty of things that can be used for fundraising, from second-hand (pre-used) gear, to books or firewood and of course, home made Hobbycraft.  In fact anything you can think of.

All stalls selling craft must display a sign, approximately the size of a telephone book cover, (A4), stating "Home Made Hobbycraft".

The word Hobbycraft is used to differentiate between craft made for a hobby and that made for business.

Not only can people, charities or organizations raise funds at the market,  if they operate within the City of Onkaparinga, they are welcome to

Please allow  two months for your application to be assessed.

Back to the fundraising though.

The opportunity is there for you to really get ahead.

Rally your members or friends and get busy.

The Original Open Market is only too willing to get you started.
