Christmas is a time for rejoicing, gifts and a happy time for all.

That is what people expect. However, there are some in our community to whom Christmas means heartache and unhappiness.

For those people who are unhappy because it is the anniversary of the loss of a loved one, our hearts go out to them.

For those who are unhappy because they cannot afford to buy all the trappings of Christmas, there is an answer.

The Original Open Market has a myriad of stalls offering Christmas items, from Christmas decorations to toys.

  • Throughout the year, mums and dads can go to the market and find just about anything junior wants Father Christmas to bring.

  • Anything from watches to computer programs and even computers.

  • Toys are available all year round and some of them are good, expensive toys going for a song.

  • Buy your gifts through the year and it does not become such a burden during the Festive Season.

Gifts for the extended family and friends can also be purchased from the market.

A short stroll around the stalls will give you a selection of dozens of cheaply priced presents.

As the Festive Season approaches, stalls sprout Christmas Trees, decorations, stockings to hang up for Father Christmas to fill, and brightly wrapped gifts.

All these items are sold cheaply so that you can stock up well in advance and the few dollars you have left over can then go towards something special for dinner.

We hope that the Original Open Market can make this Christmas a better one for you.
